You cannot put a Fire out –
A Thing that can ignite
Can go, itself, without a Fan –
Upon the slowest Night –
You cannot fold a Flood –
And put it in a Drawer –
Because the Winds would find it out –
And tell your Cedar Floor –

LOVE that first picture. There’s just something so primal and connective about fire… I could stare at it all day. Great post, Michelle. xo
The ethereal nature of the second picture is great too ~ but in a completely different, and almost peaceful, way. Really nice juxtaposition. 🙂
I have a whole bunch of these from different angles. They are actually special to me because my son helped me burn all the leaves out in our woods to prep for a mass wild flower planting. I just love spending time outside with my kiddo…even if it is with both us wielding a fire torch!!
Hi Angela!
Thank you so much. I love looking at fire, too! In fact, the most “violent” ones didn’t make the post today because they were just too red. My goal was to submit unedited pictures that were taken “as is” and let the fire provide the surreal feel. I was a little hesitant to post anything not touched up.
Fire is raw, right? It felt more honest to do it this way 🙂
